In short

Riposte watches your competitors every morning and turns each real change into a signal: what changed, why it matters for your product and what to do. Each signal can become an action kit with owners and first drafts. Riposte also shows what competitors publish, keeps your comparison pages current, writes content briefs, and tracks who AI tools recommend for your buyers' questions.

Riposte is built around one idea: don't just tell me a competitor changed something, tell me what it means and what to do. Here is every part of it, in the order you'd use it.

Your product

You start by telling Riposte what you sell, who you sell to and what makes you different. Everything after this is judged against it. The same price rise can be noise for one company and an opening for another.

You can also upload your own files to the Knowledge base: one-pagers, positioning docs, case studies and past posts (PDF or Word). Riposte shows what it read from each file, and every signal, draft and brief uses them.

Be specific

"Content teams at B2B SaaS startups" gives much sharper advice than "marketers". The more Riposte knows, the less generic it gets.

Competitors

Type a competitor's website and Riposte finds the pages worth watching: pricing, release notes, blog, blog feed and sitemap. You can add any other page by hand, and choose daily or weekly checks.

The feed

Every morning, Riposte reads those pages, keeps only the main content and compares it with the last check. Dates, banners and menus are ignored. Each real change becomes a signal with three parts:

  • What changed, with the exact numbers or words.
  • Why it matters to you, for your product and buyers.
  • What to do, as one clear next step.

Every signal shows the before and after, so you can check it in one click. High-impact signals are emailed to you, and a digest arrives every Monday. When one competitor makes several related changes, Riposte joins them into one connected move.

News & more

Competitors don't only change their website. Riposte also finds news and press releases that mention them, and sorts each story into Launches, Partnerships, Awards & recognition, Funding, Leadership and Trouble. News about a different company with the same name is marked as noise.

Action kits

This is the part I always missed as a marketer. One click turns a signal into an action kit: what to create, who owns it, where to share it and how urgent it is, with a first draft. Everything lands on the Actions page as Today, This week and Later.

Content intel

See how often each competitor publishes, what kinds of pages they have (comparison pages, answer pages for AI search, guides) and the topics they keep writing about. Riposte also flags topics trending across competitors, and pages they rewrite for a new search intent. Any trend can become a content brief with a keyword, angle, outline and FAQs.

Comparison pages

Riposte writes a fair "you vs them" page from what's on the competitor's site, and flags it as out of date when they change pricing or product. One click updates it, and the changed rows are highlighted.

Prompt Studio and AI visibility

Prompt Studio turns your keywords into the buying questions people ask AI assistants. AI visibility asks those questions and shows who gets recommended, and where competitors are named and you aren't, with their recent moves next to it.

The bottom line

Riposte watches your competitors every morning, explains what each change means for your product, and drafts your response. You spend your time deciding, not checking pages.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set up Riposte?

Describe your product and who you sell to, then add a competitor by typing its website. Riposte finds its pricing page, blog, blog feed, release notes and sitemap on its own.

How often does Riposte check competitors?

Every morning, automatically. You can also press Check now on any competitor to check it straight away.

Does Riposte only tell me what changed?

No. Every signal says what changed, why it matters for your product and what to do. An action kit then lists what to create, who owns it and where to share it, with a first draft.

Who is Riposte for?

Product marketers, content leads and SEO teams who need to respond to competitor moves, not just know about them.

How much does Riposte cost?

What does Riposte track?

Competitors' pricing pages, release notes, blogs and blog feeds, sitemaps, homepages, news and YouTube channels. It checks them every morning.

For small teams, yes. Crayon and Klue are built for large sales teams, while Riposte is lighter, made for marketers, and turns each change into a ready response.

Which AI does Riposte use?

Riposte uses Gemini through Google's official API to explain changes, draft responses and check AI visibility.

Can Riposte track competitors on social media?

Yes, YouTube today: new videos from competitors' channels show up as signals, explained for your product. X and LinkedIn are planned.

Does Riposte work for small teams?

Yes. It is built for a solo product marketer or a small marketing team that can't spend hours every week checking competitor pages by hand.
